Machinist School - N-appropriate in action!

In language class, you will learn that you should use synonyms.
Don’t just say idiot, use other words. I used to use the word “More-off”.
After all, a moron could not possibly be More “On”.
But nowadays, the epitome of society has decided that “stupid” and its synonyms are “evil”.
Don’t call somebody crazy, nutty, stupid, delirious, moronic ……. None of that!
Instead, use the N word,
N-appropriate means unsuitable for a given situation.
If you look up the word “stupid” on google, you will find lots of synonyms BUT N-appropriate is not included.
Of course, if you tell someone, “That is N-appropriate,” they want to know “What is so N-appropriate about it?”
There are two basic causes for N-appropriate: 1) lack of thought  2) lack of suitable action   ……. In other words, stupid.
So, to be correct, there is but one word to use for stupidity and its synonyms: N-appropriate.
How n-appropriate is that?
Oh, by the way, he is not wearing a hard hat .... probably not even steel toed shoes!

Machinist School - The Long & Short of IT .....

In the measuring trade, they say that things that are used to measure with .... they are called "metrics" ..... The rest of us call it .....  "it".
The computer folks think IT is "information technology".
If you look at the rule above ...... it is metric in nature. Instead of the major graduations being divided into halves and quarters ............ it is divided into fifths.

Machinist School - NCPlot program

Nate, programmer at Technical Machining sent this
CNC Machinists/programmers: NCPlot released their new software that simulates NC code. It also recognizes Macro programming, and allows you to keep track of your variables throughout the program. For anyone that is looking to get a better understanding of macro CNC programming or just basic programming, this is a great tool for proving your programs. There's a 15 day free trial, and a very reasonable $300 to purchase. To put things in perspective, the software we run at work for simulation is $10k, but it has complete machine simulation with 3d solid capabilities.

Machinist School - Flu ..... something to do

Son, Eric, had 2 things:

1. FLU
2. Cravings for pickled eggs

The easiest formula for pickled eggs we found was:
1. boiled and shelled eggs
2. 1 quart vinegar
3. 2 tablespoons salt
.............add anything else

What I did was:
1. boiled and shelled eggs
2. 1 quart vinegar
3. 4 tablespoons salt
4. 1 tablespoon allspice
5. 1 tablespoon ground garlic
6. 1 tablespoon red pepper

We both ate pickled eggs. The next day ..... no more FLU.

Whether or not they cure anything, they are tasty.
